The plans for this development call for Cordova bay as the main access road with the potential increase of over 400 vehicles a day. This additional traffic will put the existing character of Cordova Bay at risk.
I would suggest that now is the time to consider the identification of Cordova Bay as ” The Village of Cordova Bay”, covering the section from Matticks Farm to Haliburton. This would include the elementary school, four beach access areas , two golf courses and several shopping areas. Some form of traffic calming would be in order given the current tendency to use Cordova Bay Rd as an evening speedway.
This concept may also be attractive to the developer !

Then when it’s all finished, think of the huge increase in general traffic that this project will create.
